We are very excited to announce that Genius, the gluten-free food brand, has appointed St. Luke’s as their communications agency.
Not only could this mean exciting bread-based treats for us, but we will also be helping to spread tasty bakery products to a whole section of the population who currently avoid them, as they go about managing their gluten-free diets.
Genius believes that no one should be denied the joy excellent bread brings. It was this belief, held by founder Lucinda Bruce-Gardyne, that led to the creation of the brand. When Lucinda discovered her son was gluten intolerant back in 2009, she was determined for him not to miss out, and set to work creating the perfect gluten-free loaf. The rest, as they say, is history…
With the growing awareness of coeliac disease, gluten intolerance and sensitivity, Genius couldn’t be more relevant to today’s society. The UK “free from” market is growing rapidly and expected to be worth £550 million by 2019 [Mintel]. In 2015 12% of new food products launched in the UK carried a gluten-free claim, up from 7 per cent in 2011 [Mintel]. Whether consumers are going gluten-free as a health necessity or as a lifestyle choice, we’re thrilled to help the brand communicate their fantastic products. And in turn, help everyone experience the sheer delight of bacon sarnies, chocolate muffins, stacks of pancakes and more!
