As the officials in Rio start to get a little hot under the collar, with the opening ceremony just under two weeks away, the St Luke’s team are slowly coming to terms with the events of Thursday’s Oxlympiad.
The Games, now in their second year, took place at the height of the London heatwave and saw the whole agency take part in competitions of skill, strategy, balance and brute strength. The culmination of which was a Crystal Maze style, multi-disciplined challenge to find our ECD, Al’s lunch. Despite concerns around under-inflated ball pits and inconsistent spoon sizes for the egg & spoon, the games went off without a hitch and saw “The East” snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in the latter stages – allowing “The South” to take home the glory. A result which left “The North” (last year’s winners) apoplectic and looking for answers.
